An 80 FPM Sealer That Runs Itself

The Sigma III Touch is the automatic, inline workhorse of the Sigma sealing range. It is the step up from semi-automatic and entry inline models for high-volume lines that cannot stop. The self-standing design needs no mounting brackets and no cart, so it drops into your line and locks in place.

One universal sealing coil seals every cap from 20 mm to 120 mm, and touch-screen recipe management makes SKU changeover near instant. Castor wheels and station pads let you relocate and secure the machine in minutes, so a line changeover never becomes a project.

How the Sigma III Touch Works

High-speed inline induction sealing bonds a foil liner to the container mouth using heat from an electromagnetic field, not a flame. The IGBT coil heats the foil inside the cap, the film melts, and it fuses to the rim. The result is an airtight, tamper-evident seal that forms while the container moves down the line at up to 80 feet per minute.

1

Feed and Convey

Capped containers move on the conveyor at up to 80 feet per minute under the sealing head (Sealing coil). No manual handling and no operator at the head.

2

Induction Seal

The IGBT solid-state coil induces eddy currents in the foil liner. The wax melts and the polymer bonds to the rim, forming a hermetic, tamper-evident seal.

3

Inspect and Reject

On-board inspection flags any missed or incomplete seal. Reject logic and container, cap and foil counters keep the whole run auditable.

4

Monitor and Repeat

The touch screen logs all critical operating data, and the stored recipe locks every setting, so each container seals exactly like the last.

A clean seal depends on line speed, power output and cap torque. The recipe holds these settings for you, so a run stays consistent and auditable for quality records from the first bottle to the last.

Key Features and Engineering Advantages

The capabilities that make the Sigma III Touch a high-volume production sealer, not just a fast one.

80 FPM Inline Throughput

Automatic conveyor sealing at up to 80 feet per minute for high-volume, continuous lines that run all shift.

Touch-Screen and Recipe Management

An intuitive HMI with supervisory password and operator lockout, stored recipes, and descriptive fault information.

Inspection, Rejection and Counters

On-board seal inspection with reject control, plus container, cap and foil counters that keep every run auditable.

IGBT, 100% Digital Variable Output

Solid-state power with no tap changing on the transformer and no effect from voltage fluctuation, so the seal stays stable.

Waterless, 100% Air-Cooled, Ambient Operation

No water circulation and no water lines. This removes a common downtime source and cuts the maintenance and floor-space cost.

Universal Coil and Fast Changeover

One coil seals 20 to 120 mm. With 350 mm head travel, a height indicator, a position lock, castor wheels and station pads, changeover is quick and repeatable.

Cap and Container Compatibility

Will it seal yours? If the cap holds a foil induction liner, the answer is yes. The Sigma III Touch handles a broad set of closures, container materials and liner types across the full 20 to 120 mm range.

Throughput and Total Cost of Ownership

A high sticker price is not the same as a high running cost. The Sigma III Touch is built to lower what the line actually costs you over the life of the machine.

80 FPM

Line Speed to Containers Per Minute

Eighty feet per minute is the conveyor speed. With small pharma and nutraceutical caps, that handles a few hundred containers per minute, depending on your container diameter and pitch. Share your sizes and we confirm the exact rate.

No Water Requirement

Waterless Running Cost

The 100% air-cooled coil runs at ambient temperature with no water circulation to power or maintain. You remove a whole class of running cost and a common downtime source.

IGBT

Power-Efficient and Stable

Solid-state IGBT power with 100 percent digital variable output keeps the seal stable through voltage swings and avoids tap changing, which protects uptime and lowers energy waste.

Fewer maintenance tasks, faster recipe-based changeover and a stable seal lower your cost per sealed container. Total cost of ownership beats a low sticker price.

Inspection, Rejection and Production Data

The touch screen is more than a control panel. It watches every seal, removes the ones that fail, and keeps a record your quality team can audit. This is the capability that separates the III Touch from entry and semi-automatic sealers.

Audit-Ready by Design

Data logging and reject control support GMP and quality requirements out of the box. For lines that need full CFR 21 Part 11 compliance, the Sigma Jet CFR21 model adds compliant, auditable sealing on the same platform.

Where the Sigma III Touch Is Used

Each industry values a different outcome. The Sigma III Touch seals at volume across regulated and everyday packaging, on lines that cannot afford to stop.

Pharma & Healthcare

Tamper evidence and a moisture barrier for high-speed tablet and syrup lines. Trusted by names like Sun Pharma and Dr. Reddy’s.

Nutraceutical

High-throughput foil seals on supplement and powder bottles across mixed SKUs.

Food & Beverages

Freshness and leak prevention at line speed for sauces, syrups and powders. Trusted by names like Nestle, Tata Tea and ITC.

Dairy

Clean, airtight seals on dairy cups and bottles that block spills in transit.

Personal Care & Cosmetics

Leak protection and theft evidence for lotions, creams and oils. Trusted by packers like Alpla and Weener.

Agro Chemicals

Secure seals across mixed cap sizes on agrochemical bottles. Trusted by names like Syngenta.

Petro Chemicals

Foil seals for petrochemical containers in high-volume packing.

Speciality Chemicals

A reliable barrier under the cap for aggressive specialty chemical contents.

Compliance and Safety, Built In

The Sigma III Touch is a GMP model, designed in a DSIR-certified R and D environment with password-protected recipes, data logging and reject control that support audit requirements. For lines that need full CFR 21 Part 11 compliance, the Sigma Jet CFR21 model runs on the same platform.

Seals rarely fail without a reason. The usual variables are air gap and coil height, line speed, power output, cap torque and a contaminated neck finish. The recipe holds your proven settings, and the on-board monitoring flags drift before it becomes a reject.

60 Million Bottles Sealed Every Hour

Across more than 50 industries worldwide, products are sealed on Sigma machines every hour of every day. The III Touch carries that field-proven heritage onto your high-speed line.

Why Choose Sigma III Touch

A high-speed sealer is only as good as the support behind it. Sigma CapSeal built its first heating equipment in 1974, developed India’s and Asia’s first induction sealer in 1989, and now serves clients in over 85 countries from a DSIR-certified R and D base with 35 global service centers.

That reach means spare parts and after-sales support arrive at your plant fast, with a 98.94 percent on-time delivery record behind every order. You buy a production asset and a service partner, not just a machine.

Frequently Asked Questions: Sigma III Touch

Common questions from packaging engineers, production managers, QA teams and procurement evaluating the Sigma III Touch.

80 feet per minute is the conveyor speed. Containers per minute depend on your container diameter and spacing, but for small pharma and nutraceutical caps it is usually a few hundred per minute. Send your sizes and we confirm the exact rate.

Yes. It is a GMP model built in a DSIR-certified R and D environment, with password-protected recipes, data logging and reject control for audits. For full CFR 21 Part 11, choose the Sigma Jet CFR21 on the same platform.

One universal coil seals every cap from 20 mm to 120 mm with no coil swaps. Flat, deep tunnel, peep tunnel and custom heads cover CRC, dome, sports and spout, snap-on, flip-top, continuous-thread and conical closures.

All are inline sealers on one platform: the II Neo Touch runs at 55 feet per minute, the III Touch at 80 with full recipe and reject control, and the Jet at 100 for maximum throughput.

No. It is 100 percent air-cooled and runs at ambient temperature, with no water circulation required.

The touch screen checks each seal and flags any that miss. Reject logic removes them, and container, cap and foil counters keep the run auditable.
